This popular 1 1/4 hour webinar is aimed at practitioners who work with offenders and who are looking to improve their confidence and skills in thinking about the ways in which we need to incorporate transgender themes into our work.
We focus on trans women in this webinar, as the group of trans individuals who most commonly come to our attention within the criminal justice system; and we provide practical tips that can enhance our assessment approach, and suggest the ways in which transgender dilemmas may - or may not - have influenced pathways to offending. Practitioners often feel uncertain about risk and sentencing planning with transgender individuals and although the empirical evidence is very sparse on these issues, our aim is to offer helpful commentary and advice.
