Webinar 3 : Lets Talk about Sex! How to take a good sexual history in a forensic context
Taking a sexual history can feel like a daunting task, sometimes embarrassing and usually rather personal and intrusive. This lively and engaging one hour audio webinar aims to build your confidence and skills, equipping you with top tips in how to approach the task with individuals in forensic contexts. This is not just for the purpose of interviewing those who have sexual convictions, but when considering the wider issues of how sexual behaviour may link to other types of risk - for example, domestic violence - and how this impacts upon the person’s emotional and relational functioning.
Jackie Craissati and Kerry Beckley converse together, drawing on the research evidence and sharing their experience in optimising the assessment process; they consider the relevant issues in relation to both risk formulation and to the understanding the link between psychosexual development and later relationship difficulties.
The webinar is set at an intermediate level, suitable for criminal justice and forensic mental health colleagues. Please note it is an audio recording rather than our usual video recording.
