In our 6th webinar of the Forensic Conversations series, Jackie Craissati and Kerry Beckley are excited to be joined by Nicola Graham-Kevan, Professor of Criminal Justice Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire to talk about some of the more controversial issues in the assessment and treatment of individuals who perpetrate violence against intimate partners. We will discuss the current socio-political frame for thinking about IPV, and how this has inadvertently hindered progress in understanding the complexity and heterogeneity of the clinical and management issues. We will focus on the established research evidence and Professor Graham-Kevan will outline the emerging picture in terms of effective interventions which will take us forward in addressing IPV, identifying the direction of travel for future developments.
